Do you know how to bake? Brownies are a nice way to avoid the ax . . . Always do your best to make sure that your job isn't redundant with many others;

that you're developing skills geared toward the growth of the company;
that you have some sense of your tangible value (e.g., that idea of yours brought in nine new clients).
