Stella McCartney has designed
for Chloe, H&M, Adidas, opened four shops of her own, and even
launched her own fragrance and organic skin care lines. Now with
three young children of her own, she's decided to scale down
her designs--physically, that is. Her latest venture is a fall

There's something about denim jeans. Find the right color, cut and style and this magical combination of fabric and function can shave off ten years, ten pounds and even add a few inches of height. Throw on the WRONG pair, however, and you could end up resembling a bloated smurf. I'll admit I'm a total jean junkie, I own so many pair you'd think my bottom half would be stained indigo. Perhaps that's why my heart pounded with glee when I flipped open my September Lucky and out spilled a glossy, folded, double-sided as for Gap's new 'Born to Fit' campaign, proclaiming their Gap 1969 line to be 'America's Best Fitting Premium Jeans.' Since it was raining on Saturday I was flipping through TV stations and saw one of my favorite videos from the '80s, Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach."
I love the styling in this video. I can't quite rock her haircut but I can bite her classic greaser look. Throw in the 'Italian's do it better' t-shirt too!

I am officially in love with Patrick Robinson! Well....not the real Patrick Robinson, but his jeans for the Gap! Let me tell you why. I'm BOTH petite and curvy meaning I'm only 4'11" and a size 16 (normally) so you can imagine my dilemma when looking for skinny jeans that I… Read More »

Gone are the days when striped button-down tops reminded us of "office" clothes. Nowadays, I'm seeing a new light, a new crop of fresh stripes. They're easy, they're breezy, and they're too cool to pass up. Don't worry about wrinkles or slight imperfections, just go with the fresh flow. Even better, you can wear these stripes year-round. I'm wearing my stripes right now with shorts and sandals; come Fall, I'll be rockin' them layered with a turtleneck and tights. Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

Wherever you are, New York is
having a beautiful summer day. You know, the kind where everyone
seems to be in a good mood. A really good mood. Passersbys
saying good morning to one another. Strangers smiling widely. We
even saw a subway conductor actually reopen the doors to
let a… Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

’m so disappointed by the new Gap 1969 jeans. As a tall girl, Gap jeans have been a part of my wardrobe for the past 15 years. They re-vamp their jeans line every 3 years or so; Gap 1969 jeans is the latest re-vamp. For me they are HORRIBLE, not the best jeans I have ever…

I like Jon Hamm for several reasons: One, obviously, is the hit TV show that he stars in, Mad Men, which glorifies those lovely be-suited 1960’s hunks. The other is that, like me, he grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, sporting head-to-toe prep gear (Gap khakis for him, Banana Republic…
