If the alleged correlation between stress and going gray is true, I may be at risk for a heart attack: I'm 24, and there are too many grey strands on my head to count. I'm reluctant to accept that my long dark hair will be completely silvery when I reach 30.I search for solace in the tabloids but find none. Where are the beautiful gray-haired celebrities? Yesterday's Houston Chronicle featured a story about how more and more women are forgoing expensive, time-consuming dye jobs in favor of letting their hair go au naturel. While nearly all of the subjects interviewed for the piece found this move "liberating" and "empowering" and a "sign of distinction and wisdom," some expressed fears of looking old.
