One Night Stand: design ideas from the Hotel Básico
By calliejenschke, on Sun May 11, 2008 10:18am PDTSpring cleaning has me throwing out unworn clothes, old books, and that useless stuff shoved under my bed. My need to get down to the basics is being fueled in party by my obsession with Playa del Carmen's Hotel Básico.

The design, based on the industrial oil rigs of 1950s Mexico, utilizes a green mentality with mosaic planter pots smattered throughout the rooms and recycled floor tiles straight from "a Mexican grandmother's patio".
