My problem with holiday shopping is that I always find a million things I'd kinda like to buy for myself. For instance, my only shopping on the dastardly Black Friday was done online, because I'd much rather pay $7.00 in shipping and shop from the comfort of my home while wearing my comfy hot pink pajama bottoms than lace up my boots and tromp out into the cold and have to deal with other half-awake deal chasers at 4:30 a.m. for the same exact deals that are available online. As it turns out, this is a good call, since apparently people are getting killed over the cheap plastic crap at Wal-Mart.

A friend and I were recently discussing the sadness of the size-zero fashion monopoly, how the cutest stuff continues to be created for the smallest pubescent-bodied girls, how (if ever you dare) dip over a size 12, most of your clothing options become beyond frumpy and uninteresting as if you're being punished—and how all of this is getting worse.
