Dear pegged jeans: You are not welcome here

The kind that had chakra candles, healing stones and all knew their place in my parents' past lives. This was also a group of people who believed in, and had a remedy for, ghosts. If you thought you saw/experienced one, you were supposed to say, in a firm and unyielding voice: "You are not welcome here." The theory was (and I don't know why this was or what it had to do with the whole ghosts being scary thing) that a ghost will only haunt those that want to be haunted.
Truth is, I never spotted a ghost when I was little so I'm not sure if this technique works, but I am about to try it now. You know how Katie Holmes has been wearing baggy, unflattering jeans and then pegging them tight and rolling them at the bottom? Do you remember doing this yourself, perhaps in 11th grade, and wearing them with untied Tretorns and a baggy v-neck sweater/rugby shirt?
