Besides watching the Emmys, I also switched over to the New York/Dallas football game from time to time. It looked like a good time was had by all. An interesting game, a beautiful stadium, pretty cheerleaders on the field and "go go girl" type dancers embedded on… Read More »

Vanity Fair has priced the RNC outfits of both Laura Bush and Cindy McCain from Tuesday night and--yikes!--it looks like the Maverick's wife favors seriously pricey clothes and accessories. The magazine estimates that while Mrs. Bush's look cost somewhere around $4,000, Mrs. McCain's was more in the ballpark of $313,000. To be fair, most of the money went into her enormous diamond earrings, but she's also wearing a $4,500 watch, $25,000 necklace and a $3,000 dress (which actually seems like a bargain, comparatively).

It's confusing, honestly. Why would she choose such an over-the-top expensive outfit? Surely, Cindy is stylish enough to look smart and pulled-together on less than the cost of the average American's home. The Republicans have consistently painted Obama as an elitist who's out of touch with the people of this country. Conversely, the McCains are supposed to represent the party that understands the working class.
Working class, my foot. I don't know about about the rest of you, but I couldn't even afford one of Cindy's shoes.

When your daddy is the president you’d think you’d have no choice but to follow his orders. We’re realizing it may not be so in the White House these days. While Jenna Bush hasn’t proved to be the brightest of the bunch, we do respect a girl who makes up her own mind. Jenna and her mom, aka First Lady Laura Bush, were guests on Larry King Live last night and the host extracted some very interesting news: Read More »
