Spaghetti al Limone with Sea Scallops and Sweet Peas
Pasta. Even the word sounds comforting. When I’m tired and hungry and not in the best of moods (um, often?), nothing satisfies me like a big bowl of pasta. Okay, chocolate does too, but I can’t very well go eating Peanut M&Ms for dinner…at least not on a regular basis. ... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

Yuzu - The New Lemon
For a unique, refreshing summer dessert try mixing it up with the tart flavor of Yuzu [YOO-zoo], a Japanese citrus most similar to a grapefruit or a lemon. Common in Asia, the actual Yuzu fruit is difficult to find in the US, but the juice is easily available online and through specialty grocers... Read More »

What are we supposed to drink a whole lot of, instead? Water! Of course. Read More »

Friday cocktail hour: DIY limoncello
I think spring cocktails can be confusing. It's not yet time to bust out the
basil and mint, but maybe you, like me, want something a little more fun and fizzy than
a glass of wine. As the temperatures begin to rise ever so slightly, I
suppose the most you can ask from your cocktail is... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

Orange Sunshine Cupcakes
Last year, I found out that someone very close to me has leukemia. It was devastating for everyone close to him, and although he will be alright after treatment, it will still be a difficult year. This also coincided with the second Taste and Create. Orange is the color for leukemia (like pink is the color for breast cancer) so these Orange Sunshine Cupcakes made a great tribute to him. To make it even more appropriate, I baked them in gold wrappers (gold is the color for children's cancer) and topped them with a delicious lemon frosting and dried mango strips twisted into the shape of a ribbon.
For more information about how you can help cancer patients, see my original post on my blog, SushiDay.com.
