Here it is another year of festivities and you got it. Shopping galore! I managed to stop in at the famous Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills for a day visit. I am a native southern california girl and have never to my young adult years ever visited this place till now.

I have nice memories of bringing my letter to Santa to my dad every year. We'd sit on the couch as he read through it. He always thought it would be a good idea if he proofread my missive so the few items on my list were spelled correctly and I said please and thank you. (Wink, wink.) I had a good editor from the start, but it took me awhile to catch on that he was reading it for his own knowledge.

It's been awhile since my own kids have written letters to Santa, but even though they were basically weaned on computers, they did write them with colorful markers, making cute little illustrations to accompany their wishes. So I was intrigued at a holiday party last weekend when more than a few parents said their kids had created their holiday wish lists on the computer, using clip art and bullet points and fancy fonts. One girl put it in into a PowerPoint presentation.
