A horizontal chandelier

I don't know anything about the wiring that would be involved, but it seems like you could customize a similar thing about a million different ways. Anyone out there ever try making something like this?]
I am loving this light from z galerie . I saw the display at a store but wasn’t able to snap a picture. It looks so funky but still elegant.
Here are the pictures from the site. It is $329, which is a bit pricey, but could be a fun splurge !
