I'm fairly paranoid about germs. I was this way even before the whole swine flu thing. For example, not only do I rush to the bathroom and wash my hands first thing after riding the subway, I grab the subway pole as high up as my arm can reach because I assume fewer hands have grasped that zone than the section of pole at comfortable arm level.
