Heading into the weekend, I've got that overriding sense that I will not get anything done, again, around the house that I've aimed to tackle the past few busy weekends. Life is good, so I'm not complaining, but I trade one hectic work week schedule for a jam-packed weekend lineup that often takes us here and there with the kids. And yet, we are taking Saturday to drive to a lake in a neighboring state to spend the day with friends, and I can feel my body and mind let down at the sheer relaxing thought of it. No, my youngest's room will not be painted again this weekend, and I probably will not get through all of the piles of clutter calling my name. But I know it's just as important to stop and be and reconnect with friends.
