Dr. Fredric J. Baur was a retired chemist and food storage technician for Pringles owner Proctor and Gamble back in 1970 when he patented the design of the now-infamous Pringles chip tube. Well, this is he had a strange request: that when he died his famous invention be used as the receptacle to hold his ashes. The request was recently honored as Dr. Baur passed away at 89 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Not to make a bad joke, but seriously: his family members better keep the tube away from the kitchen!
