There are a lot of good mascaras out there (and plenty of bad ones too, like these), but there are only a few great ones. So which are they? That's what we asked TotalBeauty.com readers. And boy, did they respond! From their reviews we put together this list of the best mascaras of all time.
Check out the list below (click on any to see why they made the cut). You'll find: waterproof formulas, lengthening, curling and volumizing ones -- plus prices that range from dirt cheap to definite splurge. You're sure to find the right one for you!

If you're anything like me, you'd love to just get and keep the skin you had in your 20s (well, minus the breakouts). Wouldn't it be nice, to never have a wrinkle or age spot pop up? Well, there are some serums out there (like these) that can get us pretty close.
However, many anti-aging products -- like the ones on this list -- frankly, don't do much at all (some of them even make things worse!). Check them out (click on any to see why they're terrible) so you don't mess up your progress towards that 20-something skin.

We've brought you quite a few lists of the best and worst products from different brands (like the best and worst Clinique, Neutrogena, MAC, Avon, the list goes on and on), and even if the brand is overall stellar, there are always a few products that don't measure up.Until now. We were shocked to find that our picky TotalBeauty.com readers liked all (yes all) of the products from Aveeno. The lowest-rated product? A 6.8, which isn't exactly awful, right?
I guess it makes sense, I'm a big fan of their lotions and my skin isn't even that dry. But according to our readers, anyone with really dry or itchy skin should pick something up from this line -- because the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor that it's worthwhile. See our list of the top products below (click on any to see why they made the list), and then click here to see what that one mediocre product was.

You're familiar with Ulta right? It's kind of a melding of Sephora and your drugstore's beauty aisle -- and a great place to kill a few hours without even trying. However, if you don't feel like wandering the aisles trying to discern the best of the best, let this little (OK, it's kind of big) list be your guide.Below are the top skin care products available at Ulta, according to TotalBeauty.com readers, who are certainly no strangers to this -- or really any -- beauty store. Click on the products to see why our readers thought they were worth picking up.

Every celebrity hairstylist I talk to says that great hair starts in the shower -- a.k.a., if you use cheap shampoo and conditioner, you'll wind up with cheap-looking hair.
Now, don't get me wrong, cheap doesn't necessarily mean inexpensive. There are plenty of bargain products (like these top drugstore shampoos) that work amazingly -- and more than a few high-end products that don't deliver despite the price. That's why we put together the 10 worst conditioners, with both high and low end products, based on TotalBeauty.com reader reviews. Check them out below and steer clear, unless you like that whole greasy, frizzy look (this celeb seems to, I wonder if she's using a product on this list?). Full disclosure: I used to be a major mascara snob. I happily applied cheap eyeshadow, blush and lipgloss, but when it came to mascara I turned my nose up at anything not sold in a department store.
To be fair, I'd had a few bad experiences with drugstore mascaras (like, ehm, this one), and so I just decided it would be better to play it safe and splurge. That is until a makeup artist put this cheapie mascara on me and I was amazed with the results.
So now, you could call me a convert. I truly believe you can get great lashes with a low-budget product (these tips certainly don't hurt either), and it seems TotalBeauty.com readers agree. They shared their favorite bargain mascaras -- save yourself a few bucks and check them out:

New beauty products show up on the shelves all the time -- who can keep track? While some can be instant classics that really change how we look (like these), many others aren't note-worthy enough for a re-purchase.
That's why we're so glad that there are these products -- the ones that stand the test of time and are always there to give us gorgeous skin and hair (and the ones we'd shed more than a few tears for if they ever discontinued them, are you listening beauty brands?!). Have you tried all these classic products? What are your beauty staples -- the products you can't live without?

"Avon calling!"
OK, so most of don't have the neighborhood Avon lady knocking on our doors anymore, but that doesn't mean we should forget about this brand. Avon makes a ton of products, everything from shampoo to instant pedicure strips (no joke).
So what's actually worth ordering? I'm so glad you (or I, whatever) asked. TotalBeauty.com readers shared with me which Avon products are worth re-ordering -- and which you should most definitely pass on. Check them out below (click on any to see why it's on the list).

Don't you just hate it? You do everything right -- exfoliate regularly, use your cellulite cream religiously (and since it's this one, it's actually working!), apply self tanner meticulously (using these tips) -- only to have it all messed up with a horrible shave or wax. It's enough to drive a girl crazy -- at least, it is for these TotalBeauty.com readers.
They were unfortunate enough to use these hair removers, which range from mediocre to just plain awful. Scan the list before you buy a new razor or try that waxing kit that looks so appealing, because you don't want to ruin all your hard work with razor burn or a rash (ew!). If you're wondering why any of these made the list, click the name to see what our readers have to say.
