That Feathered Thing Kenley Sticks In Her Hair Every Week
Some trends--say, the bob--are easy to pull off. Others require attitude. And the current Project Runway attitude queen has been sporting clumps of feathers in her hair. Apparently, the people who make hair accessories think the look has some traction. These things have been...

Project Runway's Kenley: The most irritating reality show contestant ever?
Not since Omarosa appeared on the Apprentice (and faked a serious injury after a piece of dust fell on her head) have I despised a reality show contestant as much I despise Kenley from this season's Project Runway. Have any of you been watching this? She's a bratty little jerk. She's every girl I ever hated in high school. She's the obnoxious girlfriend you hope your brother never brings home. She's overconfident, insensitive and laughs when other people fail. Not to mention the fact that she only knows how to make ONE DRESS. On Wednesday night's episode she was so disrespectful and rude to Tim Gunn (Tim Gunn!) that I wanted to reach through the screen and... Read More »

The Project Runway finale: We were in the front row! (**Spoiler alert)
Last Friday morning, after all my relentless bitching about Fashion Week, something truly miraculous occurred: I was seated in the front row at the Project Runway show. I still don't know how this happened. I'd spent the last seven days sweating, being herded and crowded and rejected, sitting in the worst seats (or, more often, standing) and generally feeling like the lowest form of humanity. So imagine my surprise when... Read More »

Walk-In Closet: Project Runway Revisited
Fashion shows, for the most part, annoy me. Too many people, too few seats, shows that never start on time; a fashion crowd that makes me question what I'm wearing, down to my underpants. But there's one fashion show that's different:

Fashion Week dispatch: We interviewed Heidi Klum!
Few celebrities could make waiting around for an hour plus, getting shoved out of the way by aggressive red carpet reporters and standing outside of a velvet rope in the dribbling rain seem worth your time, but Heidi Klum is one of them. At last night's launch of her new line, Heidi Klum by Jordache, the Project Runway host was gracious and professional, and she made what can be the hideous interviewer-celebrity relationship seem fun and lighthearted and like we were all in it together. (At one point, she even asked a male reporter if he was wearing mascara. When he told her he was, she said "Oh, it's the perfect amount!") Not only that, but Klum's 19-piece Jordache collection is actually kind of cute and is not only a lot more wearable than much of the stuff I've seen this week, but more affordable too. You can check out the clothes by going to Stardoll.com and putting the pieces on a weird Heidi paper-doll-type thing. You can also buy them at Bloomingdales.
Here are some snippets from our rather hectic interview... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (54) | Blog

To be or not to be REALITY TV addicted.
Is it just me or is Reality TV one of America's guilty pleasures. My reality TV journey began in 2002 with the Real World and it has since taken off to everything from Road Rules, Top Model, Flavor of Love to my new favorite Project Runway. I almost cannot stand to watch regular t.v and... Read More »
