Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, with more than 1 million cases diagnosed annually across the country. Skin cancer is also the most preventable and curable form of cancer if it is detected early. This kick-off is the first stop of the tour, which will visit more than 50 cities at 100 different locations across the country to educate people about the importance of an annual skin check with their doctor, and get the message out that it is crucial for everyone, no matter their skin color, to practice sun safety. More than 10,000 people are expected to be screened during the entire tour.
