While Chanel was crowned the
"World's Oldest Dog" by the Guinness Book of World
Records just
months before her death, news
has come of another elderly pooch that could be the new (rightful)
titleholder. This is Penny photographed on Sept. 4 in Ronsberg,
Germany — according to her owner, Verena Wulf, she's 25! While
it's trickier to verify age with unregistered, non-purebred
pups for lack of records, I'm curious to know how her story
plays out — do you think this pooch will soon get a cake and a
press conference, too, or are you still satisfied with Chanel?

Ahh, for me, the saddest
part of vacation is when it comes to an end but Bo Obama seems
eager to scamper onboard on the way back to DC. After spending the
week on Martha's Vineyard, he's heading back to his normal
life at the White House — naturally via Air Force one, how else
would a
presidential
pooch travel?!
