For good reason, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act got lots of attention last week, as President Barack Obama made it a point that the first piece of legislation he signed strenthened workers' ability to pursue in court equal pay for equal work. The bill overturned a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that denied Ledbetter's claim of sexual discrimination via lower paychecks because of when she filed the claim. But it was a good week for workers also because of a new Supreme Court decision. Read More »
