Until I opened up my Design Within Reach catalogue to see a beautiful stainless steel work table with a not so beautiful price tag. I began to search around for something similar until I walked into Ikea and came across the Udden free-standing kitchen countertop. When I put it together I left off the back splash so I could work around all four sides. It has survived two moves and is very easy to clean.
