A close friend of mine sent me a picture today that we took together four months ago, just a few weeks before he quit smoking. It's a lovely photo. We're both smiling and happy and having a great time. But the first thing I thought when I saw it was how different he looks after twelve weeks of being tobacco-free. Reading the report in Health Daily News that speaks on the eight failing states for tobacco use, I wonder why this could be. The eight states that are failing are Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
