The groundbreaking, all-black issue of Italian Vogue (Tyra's in it!) is almost here

The newspaper interviewed both editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani and photographer Steven Meisel about their awesome, monumental project—in which Meisel shot a full 100 pages.

Drag queen RuPaul takes reality shows to the next level

Logo has announced a new reality show titled "RuPaul’s Drag Race." Everyone’s favorite diva will serve as host, mentor and judge a la Tyra Banks on America’s Next Top Model. “Tell Tyra that the Queen has returned, and while you’re at it have Heidi clear the runway,” says RuPaul. “I’m going to pump some ‘realness’ into reality. To be a winner on this show the contestants need to be a fashion designer, an American Idol, and a Top Model all rolled up into one. And they definitely have to be smarter than a fifth grader.”

America's Next Top Model Recap: And on this week's episode, Tyra breaks my heart

David Blaine tests his talents before the big show
By Joanna Douglas, Shine Staff, on Thu Apr 24, 2008 10:59am PDTMagician David Blaine has a new epic test of endurance in the works: to beat the record for staying awake the longest—13 DAYS! Sounds… productive. He’s done massive training and dieting in preparation for this stunt to take place in NYC next month—but that’s not where it ends. It seems Blaine is determined performing little tricks and tests of strength anytime, anyplace to garner up an audience. Earlier this week Blaine was dining with friends doing some basic parlor tricks when pro poker champ Phil Ivey offered David $10,000 to eat a large sake glass from the table. Blaine smashed it and ate the whole thing, piece by piece. Yikes! If that’s not enough, on April 30th Blaine will appear live on Oprah to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for holding his breath the longest (it’s currently 16 minutes and 14 seconds). Can’t say we find any of these tricks “respectable,” but it doesn’t mean we won’t watch! [Insider Online, NY Daily]

America's Next Top Model Recap: Tyra's monster zit makes her that much more monstrous

Wow. Wow. Wow. Last night's ANTM may have been my favorite episode of my favorite show of all time. It contained each and every element that makes the show fascinating:- A medical emergency (Lauren cut off the top of her thumb!)
- An abusive photo shoot (this time, the girls had to stand outside for hours in the freezing, windy New York winter)
- An overly-dramatized scandal (Fatima doesn't have a green card! How could she go on to the secret, international location?)
- Judges infighting
- Crying
- Extra-evil, scolding Tyra
- A contestant upset
