How do I enjoy the beach without looking frumpy trying to protect my skin?

Who can turn the world on with her smile?

As Oprah said from the fastidiously recreated WJM-TV set on her show, there were lots of us living for Saturday night in the 1970s, when Mary Richards showed us how to be an independent, successful working woman who didn't need to get married to have a good life.

"Mary Richards made it okay to be single on a Saturday night and to be working on your own," Oprah said, chatting with Mary Tyler Moore at the start the show. "That was our first image of that" on television.
