Has Sarah Palin got you talking?
Whew! The discussion is heated on the topic of Sarah Palin. When I posed questions several months ago about Hillary Clinton's candidacy during the primaries, many people wrote that it was very important for women to join together to elect a woman. Others were outraged, saying voting on gender, instead of politics and policies, sets women back – way back. So now we asked what impact, if any, do you think the 18 million primary votes cast for Sen. Clinton will have on the success of the Alaskan governor? More importantly, are you swayed in one direction or another by Palin's personal life over her politics? Or will you judge her on her policies and political views alone? Read More »

Help - My Mother-In-Law is driving me crazy.

"Mary Richards made it okay to be single on a Saturday night and to be working on your own," Oprah said, chatting with Mary Tyler Moore at the start the show. "That was our first image of that" on television.
I'm with Oprah on this -- you can't underestimate the power of that show on girls coming of age in the '70's. Mary Richards set a path for moving to an unknown city, getting a job, and finding out who you are through your work and friendships. Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (4) | Blog

Shorter summer dresses and skirts for the workplace?
I am a middle age professional woman who works in a conservative environment. I still have and OK figure and enjoy wearing a shorter dress or skirt once in a while, especially during the summer. Some of my women coworkers don't seem to approve at all. I don't want to seem out of line, but... Read More »
