LG is planning to dramatically increase its commitment to OLED screen production. A company spokesperson told Korea Times in an interviewIn that the second half of 2014 LG will bring online its eight-generation glass-cutting technology. With that, the company will be able to start mass-producing OLED screens for televisions.
Dell's Special Committee of the Board of Directors has entered into a revised agreement with its founder Michael Dell and his partner Silver Lake Partners. The company said that it has agreed to Dell's recently announced $13.75-per-share offer. The parties have also agreed to a special dividend that will be paid to shareholders at or before closing of 13 cents per share.
MobileMe users that have been accessing iCloud storage at no charge over the last couple of years will soon lose that right. Apple posted on its site recently that as of September 30, MobileMe users will no longer have complimentary storage through iCloud. Customers who need more than 5GBs of storage will have to pay for it.
