Though she is the mastermind behind the SkinnyGirl brand (which now includes a beauty line!), a proud mom, and TV star, this former 'Housewife' is totally down-to-earth. We got the scoop on how she keeps her on-the-go-life affordable.
#1: Bargain Shopping
Frankel admits that she is a sale and thrift hunter. "I'm not the type who runs out to get the newest thing," she reveals at our NYC shoot. "I wear things on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that are five seasons old. I don't care, as long as it looks good." In fact, she'll regularly wear threads from stores like Target.
#2: Get Cheap Hair Trims
Bethenny gets an expensive, professional cut only once or twice a year to give her mane some shape. To maintain it, she'll get trims at cheaper salons for a fraction of the price.
#3: Don't Wear Nail Polish
Instead of spending money on new lacquers every season, Frankel stopped wearing nail polish completely. "It makes your nails healthier," she explains. "They can breathe, and they look clean."
#4: Shop the Sidewalks
The cocktail ring Bethenny is wearing is actually something shes snagged from a street vendor in New York City.
#5: Scour Online Sales
Bethenny admits she doesn't shop in stores. Instead of getting to pick things up unnecessarily on her way to a cash register, she browses deals on eBay and affordable retailers like zara.com and jcrew.com. Occasionally she'll shop saks.com but only if there is a sale, of course.
