6-year-old cancer patient gets a royal hug from Kate, Duchess of Cambridge

Awww....so sad....but so cute! I love the little girl's spirit....at least it made her dream come true....sigh.

Thank goodness Kate dismissed royal protocol and gave this little girl a hug! Just goes to show you that a little touch of kindness goes a long way for this little girl and shows how human Kate actually is. She is what the royal family needs and I think that William has some of the same qualities. They will bring a new look to the Royal family. Wishing Diamond all the best.

Ahhh, I love this story. It brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful little girl! With or without the hair she is gorgeous!!! She seems like a very intelligent little girl too! Diamond if you get to read these comments or your parents share some of these to you I just want to say you seem like a very strong little girl and I hope you fight and beat this cancer! I am so happy your dream of meeting a princess came true, but I really hope next year you can go to Walt Disney World and get to eat with Princess Aurora also. You deserve it. I wish you the best and you will be in my prayers.

It has been awhile since I've seen someone take time out of their schedule to do something for someone else. Even something as simple as this is spectacular in the eyes of a child.

Kate is awesome...you can tell that she is truly touched by this little girl.

Wish the best for the little girl. What the front door is a "royal" hug? Is it different from a "general, loving or nice big" hug? Does it have some kind of special power that is transmitted from the hugger to the huggee? Get off that crap people, her hugs are no more special than anyone else's. we are so eager to find people to idolize and who we think are better than us. She's just a perfectly nice young woman who married well.

yall got me at work all tore up. I pray she pull through her battle and live a long time. This made me realize my life could be a whole lot worser and i have the nerve to complain. God bless this little girl and Kate & William for taking out time to see her!!

I've always had a deep respect for the royal family. This made me respect them even more. Kate could have been bathing in the paparrazzi but instead, she made this child very happy. God bless Kate and Diamond.
