Chelsea Clinton's Wedding
Celeb Style: Just about everything at Chelsea Clinton's wedding was over the top, and the cake was no exception. Experts say the vegan wedding cake from La Tulipe Desserts was nine tiers, 500 pounds and cost between $10,000 and $12,000.
The Steal: If you're looking for a stellar cake without the sky-high price, ask your baker about faking the top layers. Rather than ordering an entirely real cake, ask your baker whether they can build in a few fake layers. The bottom layer (where you'll cut the cake) can be deliciously authentic, while the top layers will be made of Styrofoam covered in frosting. Backstage, your cake baker will have less expensive sheet cakes ready to slice up and hand out to your guests. (No one will ever know!)
Alicia Keys's Diamond Headpiece
Celeb Style: For her Mediterranean nuptials, singer Alicia Keys donned a custom-made 60-carat diamond headpiece. Originally a necklace, the jewels were redesigned for Keys by the celebrity diamond gurus at Jacob & Co.
The Steal: For a similar look, choose look-alike stones, like white topaz, white sapphires or even crystals. If you want the real thing, check out websites like Adorn.com, which let you rent diamond necklaces, bracelets, and earrings for a fraction of the cost of buying (think: a $12,000 6-carat diamond necklace for just $150).
Hilary Duff's Wedding Favors
Celeb Style: When Hilary Duff married Mike Comrie, they spared no expense -- especially when it came to the favors. Guests received Padron Anniversario cigars and a box of Hilary's favorite chocolates from John Kelly.
The Steal: To get the look for less, opt for something small -- personalized M&M's or mini candles -- and add fab homemade packaging. Give yourself plenty of time, and add monogram tags (printed on your home computer), ribbon, and incredible boxes (from WeddingChannel.com Store!).
Megan Fox's Wedding Dress
Celeb Style: For her beach chic wedding to (off-again-on-again fiance) Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox wore an Armani Prive strapless white gown with a 16-foot train. The groom also wore an all-white Emporio Armani ensemble.
The Steal: If you're sticking to a budget for your wedding gown, the key is to do your research first. Search websites, like WeddingChannel.com, and magazines to find gowns that are within your budget before visiting your local bridal salon. Bring photos of what you're interested in, so the attendant at the salon can have an idea of what you're looking for. You can also stay tuned in to community boards on websites like WeddingChannel.com to find out about sample sales happening in your area, where bridal salons often sell the previous season's gowns for up to 70 percent off.
Coco Rocha's French Castle
Celeb Style: This summer, international supermodel Coco Rocha married interior designer James Conran at Chateau Challain, a castle in the Loire Valley of France. The model, who has graced the cover of practically every major fashion magazine, flew out friends and family for a two-day extravaganza, which took place at the same castle where James proposed.
The Steal: Though getting married in a castle might help complete that "fairy-tale wedding" fantasy you've always had, there are more affordable ways to find a venue you love. The key is to start looking early -- this should be one of the first things you book after getting engaged. Ask potential vendors to outline exactly what's included in the price and if there's a certain caterer you're required to use, which can affect the cost. You can also consider getting married on a Friday or a Sunday, which is almost always less expensive than a Saturday night.
