YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

Have you ever sweet-talked your way out of a ticket?

Her son James was also in the car when cops stopped her. "She told him it was a brand-new car and she didn't know how to turn them on," says an insider. "They showed her how and let her go with a warning." Parker's rep said, "The officer was patient and kind."

This sounds like a pretty bogus alibi, but as a resident of New York City, Sarah Jessica doesn't drive very often. We suppose it is possible that she couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on. But couldn't she check out the driver's manual before getting on the road, or ask someone for assistance? If her husband, Matthew Broderick, was the one pulled over do you think he could have gotten off the hook with the excuse that he didn't know how to turn on the lights?

Perhaps SJP's excuse was legit, but we think there may be some truth to the concept of women talking their way out of situations. Have you ever made up an excuse or sweet-talked your way out of a ticket? [NY Post]
