As Japanese are short it's no problem, if one our big Canadian guy sleeps in we need an equipment to pull him out.

These seem like a good idea. Where do you go if you need the bathroom?

this looks excellent for all of the halls of congress and have a dorm shower setup for hygiene needs that should be a nice t party grade room so that the temporary congress men wont loose to much on deposits on rental property or lease lands when they should not have a second residence in dc that should be a commute from home area every day theyre not in session.

I wonder how much it would cost to build one of these, "capsule hotels?" I can see a lot of uses for them. Someone mentioned for the homeless. That's a good idea for some charity to provide. Also, near airports, train stations, naval bases, harbors, and other locations with high transient traffic. Might be a growth industry. You'd have to provide common bathrooms of some sort but other than that, it would be like one of those camp grounds. I see them used on interstates at the rest stops too. How about truck stops? Lots of places these could be used.

You may want to check out this one: A little village full of large barrels in Austria. It's quite an experience! http://www.hahn-buam-hof.at/fassldorf/index.html

they left out the new york version, a cardboard box equipped with a bottle of mad dog, some old news papers to sleep on, and a urine soaked corner/bathroom

I like the last one...it seems roomy enough, but I don't think I could stand being closed up in the other ones. And for the price you could get a Hotel room!

Here in the U.S. they would need to be much larger. We are so fat we might get stuck in one of these.

I bet they would be used more often than not at airports, bus terminals, etc, whereever theres a gathering of traveling people where due to layovers, weather, etc...an inexpensive but secure place to sleep would be greatly appreciated. I know I wouldn't think twice, but us guys can sleep just about anywhere .

i agree this should be a staple in every airport for overnight layovers and delays. have some slightly larger pods for families.
    • david  •  7 months ago
if they forgot to charge you they would be stay free mini pads

These look like they would roll if someone pushed them hard enough. That would ruin your night's sleep.

The future living quarters of Mankind . With population hitting 7 BILLION people this month , future generations will be stuffed into these , let out to go to work and to use the bathroom . The police will make sure you stay in your cubicle where they can watch you thru the window . When I graduated high school , almost (gulp) and only 30 years ago , the world population had JUST hit 4 billion . Think about it a minute...4 billion almost doubled in 27 years ! What will 7 billion produce in 27 years ? Prob about 18-20 billion ! Cubicle , anyone ?
