The 'Megamind' star talks about her paranoia, family, and Sarah Palin.

It's 3 p.m. in a big white tent in the lush gardens of one of the swankiest hotels in Beverly Hills. Soft classical music plays in the background and the twinkling sound of a slowly dripping waterfall fills the air in the courtyard of the Four Seasons Hotel.
Tina Fey waltzes down a tasteful brick aisle and takes her seat. She's here to talk about her successful series 30 Rock and new film Megamind although for all intensive purposes this setting looks like a posh Tinseltown wedding. The only glitch is the bride is in black jeans, black stiletto heels and an aqua top. Softly curled black hair falls below her chin. Two waiters smile when she passes. Tina Fey has that effect on people.

"Will Ferrell will be here in a minute. We had put ourselves on a waiting list for the Four Seasons ten years ago and now a space came up," Fey says. "Our other marriages are really just shams."
Her new film Megamind, now in theaters, stars Ferrell as the voice of the title character, a creature with a ginormous blue head that has dedicated his life to being a diabolical evil force. He's out for the megakill when it comes to his rival, the studly goodness of the town hero Metro Man (voiced by Brad Pitt). Both fight for the attention of an anchorwoman named Roxanne Ritchi who is frequently kidnapped, voiced by Tina Fey.
In your new film, you're in an animated love triangle between Metro Man and Megamind. Who would the real Tina Fey want to date?
I'd go for Megamind. He's very smart and I think the purple undertones of his skin are quite attractive. He's also smaller than me. I could physically dominate him.
You look fabulous as a 'toon.
Thank you. I look like a young Sharon Osbourne in this film. I like her short hair and her beautiful curves. She also has an ample can, which is just fine with me. I couldn't really ask for more in an animated character.
What would Sarah Palin say about Roxanne Ritchi and Megamind?
Sarah Palin would say Megamind needs to be destroyed because he's a danger to freedom.
The film suggests that you need to have a major enemy in life to keep you on your toes. Isn't that just exhausting? And do you have real life nemesis?
I don't have a nemesis, but a series of small enemies. I think everyone is out to get me and it fuels my fire on a daily basis.
Your show 30 Rock is more popular than ever. Why do you think audiences love it so much?
There's a lot of funny going on, which is what we need these days. Most people have very stressful lives and they need a lot of funny when it comes to their shows. I hope we provide that little bit of relief each week.
How was doing your live episode?
It was a very big challenge and I think it went well. I don't know if we'll ever do it again. Weirdly, it cost a lot of money to do, so it will be up to NBC. But it was a positive experience on my end.
You grew up in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, but insist you weren't popular. How bad was it?
I was the school's supernerd. I was that girl. The One. You didn't need to ask who was the nerdiest in my school because everyone knew that answer. Just look for little Tina in her glasses.

Your daughter Alice is four now. How is it mixing motherhood, movies and all the rest of it?
Anytime I'm not working is devoted to my daughter and trying to regroup. My daughter will come to work with me and she's very impressed…with the makeup room. She doesn't care if I do a great scene, but she is interested if I have my mascara on. As for motherhood, there are so many things that I do now that I'm like, "I'm a Mom now!" For instance, when your kid hands you their boogers, and you take them.
Do you ever think about your place in comedy history?
I always think I will be escorted back into obscurity soon. In my case, it will be a police escort.
And finally, will you play Sarah Palin again?
Playing Sarah Palin was one of the luckiest things that ever happened to me. I'll milk it dry. God willing, when I'm 70 years old, I'll be doing her at an auto show, if things go right.
