A recent proposal-filled episode of The Office revealed to disheartened Dunder Mifflin employees what we've known for months: the bumbling, endearing Michael Scott is closing the door to his office for good.
For the past seven seasons, Steve Carell has encompassed the eccentric character, lending his hilarious comedic timing (who can forget his favorite line, "That's what she said,") and improvisational skills to the well-rounded cast, which includes the likes of Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer. His award-winning run on the hit NBC comedy (he's been honored with several Emmys for his work) ends this week when his character Michael Scott makes the move from Scranton to start a life with his new fiance Holly Flax (played by the equally quirky Amy Ryan).
While there are whispers that season guest Will Ferrell may become a regular fixture around The Office come Carell's departure, it remains unclear who will now head-up the team at television's most well-known paper supply company. One thing, however, is for sure: Michael Scott will make his exit in true Office fashion--witty one-liners, inappropriate comments, endearing charm and all.
