Here's Something To Feel Good About Today!
Male Cheerleader"You don't need a husband, what you need is a champion." From the Movie, Eat, Pray, Love
A line from the wonderful movie, Eat, Pray, Love, struck me as being worth remembering. It's spoken by actor Javier Badem to Julia Roberts as she travels the world in search of herself, and to find meaning and passion in her life. Many along the way strongly suggest that she needs to find a husband.
Since both main characters have been disappointed in previous marriages, they are looking for something much deeper from a partner. She can't put her finger on it but he says it succinctly when he tells her that what she needs to find is her champion. By definition, to champion another is to be "An ardent defender or supporter, one who fights; a warrior."
I always felt that while my mother was a live, she was my cheerleader. When she passed on I felt I had lost that one person who no matter what was always in my corner. Then I met, Robert. Whenever I doubt myself, he believes. When I am about to quit he cheers me on. I am very blessed to have married my champion.
We all need someone routing us on, watching our backs, supporting us and believing in us. Your champion can be anyone of any age. Finding one may begin with your being a champion to someone else first. You has been that person for you? Share your story and inspire others.
