    Martha's Shortlist-
In 1982, a little-known Connecticut caterer named Martha Stewart published a glossy book on entertaining that sold like hot cakes and transformed its author into a global symbol of domesticity. This fall-with a media empire and multiple product lines, including her vast housewares collection for Macy's, under her belt-Stewart is releasing her most personal and lavish book on parties yet, Martha's Entertaining: A Year of Celebrations (Clarkson Potter).
