The most stressful moment of the week is Tuesday at 11:45 a.m., according to a new British poll of 3,000 workers. The culprit? For the majority of us, it's major slacking on Monday and then having it all catch up to us by the following morning. No wonder Tuesday is the day when workers are most likely to eat lunch at their desks, and when nearly 20 percent stay after-hours to play catch-up.

Work stress can be a real drain on your emotional and physical well being, so it's important to find ways to cope--no matter what day of the week it is. Try these tips:
1. Be Positive
"When you find yourself in a negative state and thinking something like, 'Ugh it's Tuesday,' your stress response is automatic and makes it difficult for you to think clearly and creatively," says Eva Selhub, M.D., senior physician at The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind/Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. "Short-circuit that reaction by redirecting your focus: Think about something funny or awe-inspiring, and you'll notice your mind opening up so you're ready to tackle your tasks."

2. "S.H.I.E.L.D. yourself."
If you're feeling overwhelmed, Dr. Selhub recommends the following exercise: Slow down, Honor the way you feel, Inhale, Exhale, Listen to your inner self, and Decide how to fix the problem within yourself. "It also helps to visualize the shield," she says. "Imagine you're looking up at the sky and the sun is shining down and shielding you with its golden rays of light. If your boss is yelling at you, 'shielding' yourself in this way will really cut the stress."

3. Check Facebook--seriously!
Research from The University of Melbourne in Australia shows that workers who use social networking are 9 percent more productive than those who don't (as long as they limit their tweeting and Facebook-ing to under 20 percent of their time).
