The Bunny Hop, a novelty dance, was invented at a San Francisco high school in 1952. Often used by party/wedding DJs to get everyone on the dance floor, it's a reliable way to get your shoes hopped off by the person behind you in line.

But the bunny shown here doesn't have time for such bagatelles; she's hopping competitively, you see. Flora, a lop-eared rabbit from Sweden, competes in the Rabbit Grand National in January of 2012 in Harrogate, England. About 3,000 animals attend the annual show, which debuted in 1921.

What does it mean if you were born in the Year of the Rabbit? Hop on through our slideshow for more information (and cuteness).
