Have you ever wondered what the casts of shows like Mad Men and Downton Abbey would be-if they were dogs? I can't say that I have, but now that I've found out, it seems impossible that I would ever NOT want to know. Because it's HILARIOUS.

The good folks at online pet resource Dogster are the geniuses behind these little Photoshop gems. Let's take a look at the Dogs of Mad Men first, shall we?

1. Don Draper: Vizsla

According to Dogster, Vizslas are attractive, active, and cunning; they have a strong survival instinct, but they get bored with repetitive exercises and they ignore commands if they find something they think is more interesting. Hello, Don Draper!

2. Betty Francis, formerly Draper: Pomeranian

In the words of Dogster, "Unambitious, yet somewhat put-upon. Becomes crazed if ignored." Sounds about right for Betty.

3. Joan Harris, formerly Holloway: Australian Shepherd

Apparently these beautiful pups can also become quite destructive if their energy isn't directed in a positive way. That's all well and good, but really, I'm still trying to get over the idea of an Australian Shepherd wearing earrings.

4. Peggy Olson: Beagle

Beagles are loyal with excellent tracking instincts, just like Peggy. They're bred for the long chase, but because of their single-mindedness, they can be hard to train. This, however, is not necessarily a bad thing.

Are these spot-on, or are these spot-on? I don't know about you, Bettys, but I'm currently laughing my head off. Let's examine the Dogs of Downton next!

1. Robert, Earl of Grantham: English Bulldog

Says Dogster, bulldogs are "generally docile but sometimes willful," and that their "aggression has been bred out." Furthermore, "although they once had higher aspirations, they're now content to snooze on the couch all day." Apparently this is what a life of comfort does to you.

2. Lady Mary Crawley: Poodle

Perfect. PERFECT! Poodles are easily bored and therefore love to make trouble. Their haughty demeanor is the result of centuries of breeding and/or inbreeding. Hmmm…

3. Mr. Bates: Basset Hound

Jowls? Jowls.

4. The Dowager Countess of Grantham: Persian Cat

There is NO way a dog would EVER be able to be haughty enough to be the Dowager Countess. She always gets what she wants, and she doesn't give a fig for what you think about her. Go, Dowager Countess! Go!
