Man. Adam Sandler really has to stop making mediocre movies. The nominations for the world-famous Razzie Awards were announced this weekend, and between Jack and Jill, Bucky Larson, and Just Go With It, Adam racked up a new record for Most Razzie Nominations in a Single Year: 11. ELEVEN Razzie nominations? That's more than twice the previous record of noms held by a single person (Eddie Murphy) in any given year (2007)! Whatever happened to the days of Punch Drunk Love? Sigh.

Anyhoo, for those of you not in the know, the Razzies, more accurately known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, were founded in 1980 as an antidote to the hullabaloo and arrogance of awards season. Instead of honoring great achievements in filmmaking, the Razzies recognize the absolute worst in filmmaking. As you might imagine, they are absolutely HILARIOUS. Though traditionally the Razzies have been held the day before the Oscars, this year, they've been pushed back to April 1 (April Fool's Day? Sounds perfect to me!), and as such, the nominations for the 32nd season have just been announced. Check them out here:

Well. That certainly is a high concentration of really terrible movies. Who (besides Adam Sandler, that is) do you think is going to win? It's a dubious honor, to be sure, but there's as long as you're willing to take it with good grace and a sense of humor, there's something to be said for adding a Razzie to your awards shelf.

Be sure to tune in on April 1 for the results!
