ATL Love

Let me start out by saying how much I love the city of Atlanta. Not only does it have amazing weather, as long as you enjoy the heat like myself, but there is so much to do. It seems like every space is filled with some type of place perfect for shopping or eating, which are always fun! I spent last week in Atlanta over the 4th of July holiday. As a teacher, I'm currently on summer break, and I had the week off from grad school as well. I planned the vacation during that week for this reason. Not only did I spend almost everyday by the pool, but I went to so many good restaurants, as always. I must say I don't think I've ever had a bad meal in that city. Plus, since shopping is a big weakness of mine, I always end up splurging at the many stores and fun places to shop. It was so fun to be there for the fourth and see the biggest fireworks show in the southeast. I didn't even have to leave my aunt's balcony! I also got to go to the laser/fireworks show at Stone Mountain, which I had apparently not been to since I was 6 months old. It was really cool to see and so crowded. Even though I was actually born in Atlanta, I only lived there for a short time. I just started going back last year, since I have family there, and now I can't stop going a few times a year! If I could move there right now, assuming money, family, and career weren't factors, I would. I love the big city with so much to do, lots of people, and everything you want nearby....well, except the beach. I would want to be a little closer to the coast, not that I am now in my small town in Ohio!
