Oscar Murillo, an up-and-coming 27-year-old artist, sold a 2011 painting of his for $401,000 last week at an auction. Was the buyer Leonardo DiCaprio, who was spotted previewing the wares at the sale earlier in the week, per Page Six? Whomever it was, the buyer scooped up the painting, titled "Untitled (Drawings off the wall)," for significantly higher than its listed value of $30,000 to $40,000.

Let's daydream for a moment that it's now in the collection of DiCaprio, an art lover who himself organized a massive Christie's sale earlier this year. What might he see when he gazes into the depth of this somewhat inscrutable work?

. . . A jumbled maze at the end of which lies the Oscar which has eluded him?

. . . An ocean in which hundreds of Victoria's Secret Angel wings, accumulated over the years, float on the surface like debris?

. . . A representation of the emotional landscape of an alternate life in which he married Kate Winslet and they had two children, which they named-overly sentimentally, some in this alternate universe may have suggested-Jack and Rose?

. . . Ink smudges of a discarded screenplay in which Leo was to play Elvis Presley, John F. Kennedy, and Lassie, in the same movie?

. . . The doodlings of Blake Lively during one of their dull 2011 dinner dates?

. . . A map of a world in which Citibikes are the only mode of transportation and e-cigarettes are as commonplace as gum?

This piece was corrected to reflect that the actual buyer of Murillo's work is as-yet unknown. Per auction-house representatives, sellers "cannot confirm or deny who buys what at auction."
