By: Ivy Jacobson for TheNest.com If you thought that Gisele and Tom's $50 million pad was pricey, the Fleur de Lys estate begs to differ. The LA property that was listed for sale in 2007 for $125 million has finally found a reported anonymous French billionaire buyer who recently purchased the estate for $102 million - in cash.
This deal marks the most expensive home ever sold in LA county, which really says something, considering all of the celebs that practically live in castles there.
The 100-room and 50,000-square-foot Holmby Hills estate was modeled after Chateau Vaux le Vicomte, a castle outside of Paris, according to Forbes. Sadly, its 3,000-square-foot wine cellar, ballroom, tennis courts and a screening room sat empty for nearly seven years - so how many balls need to be thrown this year to make up for all that lost time?
