Justin Timberlake, Interior Designer?

By Sugee Kim
Singer, actor and all-around hottie Justin Timberlake is collaborating with interior designer Estee Stanley to offer an intimate shopping experience through their new online shopping site, HomeMint.

He can act, he can sing and now Justin Timberlake is venturing into the world of interior design with a new collection for online shopping site HomeMint. Timberlake partnered with interior designer and stylist Estee Stanley to curate a collection that includes everything from utensils to over-dyed Turkish statement rugs.

HomeMint is inspired by Timberlake and Stanley's travels and their desire to showcase smaller, independent designers. Their picks showcase both Timberlake's love of functionality and Stanley's layered, vintage-inspired style. Items start at $9.99 (for members) for a Gramercy Luggage Tag to upwards of $2,500 for a set of vintage dining chairs. The site does not require a membership to shop, but for a monthly fee of $9.99, members can enjoy early access to limited-edition designs from Timberlake and Stanley, as well as discounts of up to 50 percent off.

HomeMint is the sixth online shopping destination from "social commerce" site BeachMint. Like HomeMint, BeachMint's sister sites unite a designer or stylist with a celebrity (duos include Jessica Simpson for BeautyMint and Rachel Bilson for ShoeMint) to collaborate on a curated shopping experience. BeachMint adds a short personalized quiz that gives online shoppers a chance to have their personal tastes evaluated -- and voila! -- a new collection flies into your inbox every month, featuring new and different pieces for you to browse through and purchase.

Don't be too quick to assume that the celebrities involved are just pretty faces for their brands. The celebs behind every Mint site design several pieces in the collection, as well as feature pieces from other manufactures that they have hand-selected. In Timberlake's case, he's selling prints of his own photography. The celebs also post videos and blogs on their seasonal or monthly product picks to create a more curated shopping experience.

We have to give credit where it's due though; Timberlake's co-curator is a veteran celebrity interior designer and stylist - she's worked with clients such as Timberlake's fiancé Jessica Biel and Lea Michele and has designed homes for Ashley Olsen, Rashida Jones and Timberlake himself. Although this is Stanley's first product line, Timberlake has previously collaborated on the clothing line William Rast. Still, we have to wonder whether we would shell out $900 for a set of photographs of the NYC skyline taken by JT himself.
