How Did Barack Become Our President?

Politics and Prophecy

History has given us some wonderful things to remember, but sometimes there are experiences we don't want to remember because they were so devastating. The Great Depression is a part of our history as it was the first time that the United States experienced something like that, where you had the stock market crash that led to the Great Depression.

On the 4th of July 1776 all thirteen colonies signed the Declaration of Independence and a new country was born. That was a great day for the United States, which led them to become the most powerful country on the planet. Then 2008 was another symbolic moment, as the first African American became president. That event declared that most of the racial barriers had broken down in the United States.

But how did he get there? Remember what happened in Egypt over three thousand years ago? It was a dream Pharaoh had that led to the freedom of Joseph. God used Joseph to save the people, but it was the people that saved the economy. Joseph took a little from each farmer to set aside for the famine and that saved the country in bad times. It was the people that saved the country not the government.

Obama was elected not because of a famine but because the country was in such bad shape, from high unemployment, the housing crisis, stock market at all time lows, 401(k) plans having been wiped out, two wars, with the country going through a recession and so many companies needing bailouts to stop them from going under.
