Do all female TV and movie characters always talk about men?

Back in 1985, cartoonist Alison Bechdel made up a rule (now known as the Bechdel Rule) in one of her strips where a woman won't see a movie unless the female characters talk about something other than a man. The joke is, if you abide by the rule, there's nothing left to watch.

How much has changed in 23 years? Not much. The female-dominating summer flicks--"Sex And The City," "Mamma Mia" and "Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants"--all fail miserably. Fall TV premieres of "Grey's Anatomy," "Gossip Girl," "Lipstick Jungle" and the new "Kath & Kim" break the rule too.

"30 Rock," "Steel Magnolias," "A League of Their Own," "Thelma and Louise," "Volver" and ass-kicking action movie "Kill Bill" are the closest rule-abiding examples I can come up with.

Can you think of any movies or TV shows that follow the Bechdel Rule? [Jezebel]
