Helen Mirren: I loved coke and date rape isn't that bad

In a recent interview, Helen Mirren makes some startling revelations--she was date raped "a couple of times" and enjoyed several illegal drugs in her youth.

Continuing her recent string of eye-opening quotes, Mirren, 63, confesses to having tried illegal drugs like marijuana and LSD in her teenage years. "I loved coke," says Mirren. "I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties." She says marijuana "always made me feel miserable and paranoid and unhappy. And I woke up one day and thought, 'No more of that, thank you.' "

Fair enough. Many celebs have fessed up to drug use. What we find truly unsettling, however, is when the Oscar winner recalls her experiences with rape as "not with excessive violence, or being hit, but rather being locked in a room and made to have sex against my will." Mirren says she defends a woman's right to say "no" at any point, although she's not always in favor of reporting such attacks. "I don't think [a woman] can have that man into court under those circumstances," she says. "It's such a tricky area, isn't it? Especially if there is no violence. I mean, look at Mike Tyson. I don't think he was a rapist."

This isn't some lock-you-in-a-room-and-tie-you-up sexual fantasy, this is rape! And it's wrong! Is anyone else with us on this? Helen, we've always considered you a fantastic role model, and we can't help but feel disappointment.
