LIfe, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, and Peace

I read in this morning's paper where another soldier received the Purple Heart for getting wounded in action. Christ, how long is this war going to go on? A good soldier might nail five of the enemy before a sharpshooter nails him. What is the point? In WWI on special occasions like Christmas, the British and German soldiers sat in the trenches together, smoked cigarettes, drank beer or schnapps, and played cards. Wouldn't it just be easier to forget the guns, and instead drink beer and play cards together? What's the use of war when you can have life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and peace? Don't forget the pizza!
