Natalie Portman is Married!

Actress Natalie Portman got married on Saturday to her fiancé of two years, Benjamin Millepied. They kicked off their union as husband and wife with a Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, CA.

Portman, 31, first met the 35-year-old French choreographer in 2009 on the set of Black Swan - the movie that earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. By the end of 2010, they surprised fans and announced both an engagement and pregnancy. With son Aleph (the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet) now 13 months old, Portman and Millepied finally exchanged vows.

While usually hush-hush about life beyond the big screen, Portman recently shared her thoughts on love and family with French magazine, Madame Fiagro.

"Nothing is more important than my personal life," she said. "It's something which comes first, always makes sense, and compared to the happiness of a successful family life, everything else is practically superficial."

Portman and Millepied welcomed close friends and family to share in that happiness. According to US Weekly, socialite-turned-designer Ivanka Trump and child actor Macaulay Culkin were among the 100 guests invited to the outdoor ceremony, which took place under a chuppah after sunset.

In traditional Jewish weddings, a rabbi recites seven blessings for the bride and groom. The groom steps on a glass to mark the end of the ceremony and the couple make their way to the dance floor.
