The Next Evolution of Aromatherapy: ADORAtherapy's Mood Boost Collection

Not everything labeled "must have" is truly essential but sometimes you run across a beauty product or tool that turns out to be just that--like this one from ADORAtherapy.

As a Shine Beauty Guru, I get the pleasure of spending my time spraying and sniffing new scent combinations and dabbing on a wide variety of products. Believe it or not, it's hard to surprise me however, ADORAtherapy's Mood Boost Collection did just that. Let me say first, that this company dis not compensate me for this review; this is my honest opinion.

Before I share my thoughts, I had to repeat an interesting comment I read from Adora Winquist, Founder of ADORAtherapy. Here she is sharing her attitude towards beauty. "Beauty is about what's inside, it's an attitude married with individuality and character." She goes on to say, "But really it (aromatherapy) is about bringing a woman's individuality to the surface. Not hiding it or playing a role, but truly revealing it." I loved that! How many times have I purchased aromatherapy products because I liked the way they smelled on someone else. Bought them, brought them home but they fail to impress. Unlike the Mood Boost Collection, those products treat everyone the same. I found these sprays to actually enhance me.

For my test drive, I tried the Smart Gal formula. According to the company, the Smart Gal is described as "a blonde, with sunglasses and a leopard jacket and knee high leather boots." (I don't know about the boots but I do love leopard print!) Of course, there are actually seven different formulas to choose from. Mine had top notes of grapefruit and lemon. Smart Gal's benefits include "enhances concentration, energizes and refreshes and cleanses." (The perfect product needed for sitting down to actually write that holiday shopping list.)

The packaging was clever, kind of Paris chic and upscale.

The spray bottle arrived tucked in a cool box that had a ribbon handle. (Perfect for a Christmas stocking or my purse!) I gave it a blast and sniffed. I loved this! Also included was a red stretchy wristband, that reads, "Adore Yourself." What especially impressed me is ADORAtherapy's commitment to bringing women products made from pure ingredients. What a great way to support women who prefer natural, organic and eco-friendly products! I'm late to the party but I've become passionate about pure products in the past few years.

The scent was light, not overpowering like some straight essential oils. It hovered long enough to be noticed and didn't stain my clothing. I kept it in my pocket throughout the day and found myself reaching for it instead of another cup of coffee. Did I feel smarter? Well, I have enough confidence to already know that I'm smart but it was peppy and uplifting.
