Nokia is Hosting a FREE Janelle Monáe Show in Los Angeles on September 25th

To showcase its recently released new mobile music streaming app, Nokia Music, Nokia will join with Social Media Week to host an exclusive concert by Grammy-nominated artist Janelle Monáe. On Tuesday, September 25, Janelle Monáe will take the stage at Club Nokia L.A. Live for an intimate concert experience as part of SMWLA.

Partnering with Social Media Week, which coincides with a week of socially powered activities, tickets to the show will be promoted via Promojam through social channels where interested attendees will be encouraged to contribute to a virtual playlist of their favorite songs from the Nokia Music app in order to secure their seat. Then prior to Janelle Monae's performance, a Nokia DJ Musicologist will spin tunes from the crowd-sourced song selections, all in keeping with Social Media Week's theme of Empowering Change through Collaboration.


The evening will encourage attendees to design their own music experience, much in the same way that Nokia Music gives users the power to discover and enjoy music based on their own personal preferences. The free mobile music streaming service is exclusive to Nokia Lumia handsets.
