Sephora’s Salute To Skincare

What do you do when you have a lock on the makeup industry-not only stocking every big-name (and niche) brand at your black and white-tiled beauty emporiums, but hawking your own in-house line of face-painting products as well? You streamline your skincare collection, of course, which is exactly what Sephora has done this month with its new Sephora Collection . All 19 of the range's offerings-which are broken down into six categories, including Cleanse, Treat, Moisturize, Protect, Body, Makeup Removers, and Nail Care-are paraben-, sulfate-, and phthalate-free. They also feature an exclusive, plant-derived ingredient dubbed HydroSenn+ that functions like a supercharged version of hyaluronic acid to add moisture to the skin by forming a protective barrier on its surface and locking in water. After considerable combing through the line's extensive array of moisturizers and cleansers, we've picked out a few favorites to guide you in the selection process.

The Instant Depuffing Roll-On Gel boasts three "agitator beads" and red vine leaf extract to boost microcirculation, while the Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is a good bet for dislodging even the most stubborn liners and mascaras from your lids while strengthening them with Propacil, an herbal complex that promotes hair growth. Most impressive in our opinion, though, is the Super Dual Action Exfoliator . Its large white tub contains two different compartments that house a gentle exfoliating gel loaded with ginseng extract and fine particles for light abrasion, and a special T-zone exfoliating cream that is formulated with talc and contains slightly larger particles to mattify oily areas and increase cell turnover. You're only supposed to use it once or twice a week, but its fresh, green, floral aroma will definitely tempt you into making it a daily indulgence.
