Sharon Stone is an idiot—says China earthquakes are due to bad karma

Sharon Stone has taken a turn for the freaky as she's aged, but this time we're not seeing the humor in it. When the staunch Tibetan rights advocate was interviewed on Hong Kong's Cable Entertainment News, she linked the recent earthquakes-a natural disaster-to Beijing's policy on Tibet. "I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," said Stone. "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, 'Is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?'"

As a result to her comment, Ng See-Yuen, founder of the UME Cineplex chain and the chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers, has vowed not to show her movies in his theaters, calling her remarks "inappropriate." Beijing department stores have also removed Christian Dior ads featuring Sharon's image-and we kind of can't blame them. Ms. Stone, perhaps you should think before you open your mouth! [US Weekly]
