President Obama's $1 Million Chrysler Isn't the Only Famously Expensive Car

In the market for a new car? Perhaps you'd like something presidential.

President Obama's 2005 Chrysler 300C is on sale for a whopping $1 million, the Huffington Postreports. Obama put about 19,000 miles on the car before he sold it and went for a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid.

Illinois man Tim O'Boyle, the current owner, is selling the vehicle on eBay, and set the minimum bid at $1 million-even though the Kelley Blue Book price of the car is just $14,346.

The steep minimum bid seems to be putting people off: There have been no bids on the auction, which closes February 1.

This isn't the first celebrity car to be sold on eBay.

In January 2011, David Beckham's 911 Porsche Convertible Turbo was put up for auction on eBay, the Daily Mail reports.

The car was worth $150,000 in 2008, when Becks bought it for $100,000 and added $50,000 worth of customizations, including the number 23 (his jersey number) stitched into the car seats and engraved on the steering wheel, bass speakers under the back seats, offset three-piece rims, and Techart exhaust, according to CelebrityCarsBlog.com.

The Kelley Blue Book value for the vehicle was $113,110 (without customization) the Huffington Postreported, but the celebrity cache helped the vehicle fetch another $100,000-the winning bid was $217,000, according to CelebrityCarsBlog.com.

Two years before Becks's ride went on eBay, Lindsay Lohan's white Maserati hit the auction site, according to Luxist.

Porn producer Dennis Desantis gave Lohan the 2007 Maserati Quattroporte, which she crashedearlier in the year. Too bad, because the car was decked with plenty of amenities, including power seats, rear sunshades, parking sensors, a suede headliner, white stitching, and GT wheels and tires.

Despite the accidents, auctions went as high as $62,100 before the listing was pulled.
